Suzuki Liana (Mild Paint Correction)

This car was groomed by us in early Jan '10 and the owner did quite a good job on his part in maintaining the paintwork. The car was assessed to have light marring and a little rough. No severe paint defects were noted and a light paint correction session was all it need for the paint restoration session. We washed and clayed it and took the paint coating level.

Paint coating level was a little low on the bonnet but it was still in a healthy condition.

A light paint correction process was executed to rectify the surface marring and also to preserve the integrity of the paint level. We subsequently sealed it off with a sealant to lock in the protection. The mean cost of the entire correction session was about 1-2 microns of the paint coating and the situation could have been bad if the owner did not maintain his ride after his grooming session in Jan' 10. Maintaining the paintwork in good condition is a joint collaborative effort, we can do paint correction and restoration but we can't do magic spells. The owner's efforts definitely played an important role here. Btw, surface marring is an inevitable defect if the car is constantly being used, we can only reduce/ minimise it but we cannot stop it from occurring. These were the 'Before' and 'After' pictures of some affected panels.

After 3 hrs of paint correction and cleaning up work, these were the final pictures of a pristine Liana again. I'm starting to love the sporty blue colour after this session.

I'm glad that this owner was maintaining his car by washing it regularly to remove the surface contaminants like road grime and dirt and he waxed his car at a regular interval as well. When he's busy or lazy, we help him out at a tiny fraction of a cost. Thank you for viewing this post.
