Tropical Monsoon Period

It raining and raining again, why should i wash the car... -_-

Are you maintaining your car during this period of the year whereby it is literally raining day after day with short intervals of sunny windows. I hope you are as this type of weather conditions is not favourable for the the cars' paint work.

I really hate this time of the year in SG as the car gets dirty real fast and i have to compensate it by performing double dosage of maintenance work to keep it clean and safe as it is park in the open at times. The water beads collected on the roof panel of the car is not good as they will become etching problem when the sun gets them, no doubt they certainly get alot of attention from curious passersby.

Frequent washing/ cleaning has always gave me good result with most LSPs durability and water beading/ sheeting performance. It does help in the process to maintain the car in pristine state but if i am given the opportunity to park my car under shelter, i will as it does save time and effort for me.

Whenever the car gets caught in the rain, i will wash it when the rain stop (before the sun comes out) or within the next 24 hrs. These rain water stains seem to be very prone to white car even though the car is clean very often, 2 days in the rain and these stains will appear everywhere around the car. These will become stubborn stains when they are left on the car for many days and use of wax to remove them becomes inevitable. (IMHO, all the cars have this issue, it's just the colour that make them "invisible".)
I had encountered this strange effect on the applied surface protection with my car whereby the LSP seemed to be weakening so much faster (easily lasted more than 90 days without signs of water beads weakening, current state is barely 35 days old) than the usual protection period.

The car was parked at the same place which was under the shelter of a huge tree's canopy for the last couple of days as it was raining nonstop.

This mixture of "tree water" + rainwater was allow to dwell on the paint surface for about 3 days and finally the sun was coming up... better wash the car before all the water beads start to cook off on the surface. The picture taken above is before the car wash session and the water collected on the paint surface is noted to be slightly yellowish.

Initially, i thought the car surface must be contaminated and dirty after soaking in the rain for 3 days, hence the water beads are behaving in that manner. When the surface beading remain the same even after the car wash session, i'm sure the LSP is weakening (picture above).

What has cause the applied LSP to weaken so much faster/ earlier? Acid rain becoming even more potent after flowing through tree leaves and branches? It is really ironic and i'm totally clueless on this but i do take the effort to avoid parking under the tree be it rain or shine. Thanks for viewing.

Send A 'Miracle' Paint Protection Coating Please

These defects need no introduction, these are water scales/ etched marks cum acid rain etch marks + surface marring captured on pictures with the aid of strong lighting during various different grooming session.

Is there a LSP/ paint coating out there that can really protect the paint work in our tropical weather conditions? The constant rain and shine interval is killing our automobile paint work, leaving water scales/ etch marks and deep acid rain etch marks.

Surface marring was further induced when individuals tried to remove the rainwater on their cars after the rainfall through a wipe down session instead of a proper car wash session.

Cars that are garaged or park in MSCP/ basement carpark are generally quite well protected from this rain and shine cycle damage, but my concern are those cars that are park in the open areas as they are generally goners or goners-to-be after 5 weeks under the rain and shine conditions. (All the pictures shown above are captured from cars that are parked in the open, some are quite adverse as they have been exposed to the rain and shine cycle for many months)
Who has the ultimate LSP coating to our challenging weather here? We need a sustainable solution. More updates will be furnish once there's a change in the price of the fish. Thank you.

3/4 Of My Day With This Suzuki

This was actually quite a new car but the paint work tells another story as it was flawed badly by alot of defects. Let's take a look at the paint work...

The water etched marks and the acid rain etched marks were bad on this car.

Surface marring noted as usual...

The entire appearance of it was just plain dull as it was affected by the defects. The red colour wasn't bright nor hot, maybe i should use a hybrid wax as the LSP. The paint coating level was abit low for a "SJ...... plate", but nevertheless it was still in the low healthy range for paint correction work. I begun my correction work carefully on the flawed paint work.

The ruby red was restored and the ride looked good again. Thanks for viewing.

Let's Mini

I saw this nice Cooper zoom pass my workplace almost everyday and i really admire it because it's really nice, low ride height plus huge wheels. Today, i got a surprise as the owner pop by my place during noon time and ask for a session to detail the car. This car is really very nicely modded and i can't stop looking at it. The owner directed me to his area of concern, we discussed abit and he's fine with the developed plan and left. I double check the car's paint work again and the usual defects were noted on the car plus there were alot of leftover wax at the exterior vinyls.
Defects were mainly water etched marks cum swirl marks, no other major defects noted.

The car was driven for wash and prepare for the grooming session proper. Paint coating levels were measured and it has quite good OEM paint coating.

The surface marring and water etch mark issues were sorted out after 4- 5 hits. Rest of the cars were given average of 4 hits again. I was quite pleased with the correction work as the paint on this car was very workable. I was enjoying myself and there were some challenging times at the bonnet/ hood area during the correction work.
I took more than 4 hours to correct the paint work and used another 2 hours to detail the rest of the car.

Interiors were cleaned and dressed...

Conclusion gathered from this grooming session... this is a nice car, going to add it to my favourite list. Thanks for viewing.
