Saturday's Suzuki Liana

What a way to start the day, the first car of the day was in a very bad state. The owner told me that the last polishing session was 2 years ago and I really got a shock when i saw this blue car. I know this was going to be a long paint correction session. As usual the car was washed, clayed and parked at the polishing bay for paint assessment.

The paint coating level were took as this detailing was definitely going to level quite alot of paint in order for it to restore to it's good condition again. I would not say a 100% restoration but we'll do our best.

All the panels were checked and the roof line paint coating level seemed to be lower than the rest of the other panels. The mean paint coating level was about 75 microns.

All 4 doors had multiple defects like scratches, scuff marks and there were many paint chips around the whole car.

This was the condition of the paintwork, i don't like it... Scratches, swirl mark, buffer swirl, scuff mark, water etched mark, bird poo etched mark and many paint chip marks were found on the car. The car was in bad condition and various test panels were executed, the light to medium correction were not effective and i could only resort to the severe correction process.

I'm not surprised to find so many little chip marks all over the bonnet/ hood panel...

The bird poo etching had went through the paint coating, i can't do much with it.

A total of 5 hours were spent on the paint correction stage.

After 6 hours of polishing and detailing work... our hard work were paid off with the following pictures. The car was looking good again but the paint coating level was not that good.

We are committed to deliver the standards that are required for the respective detailings but we really need the owners to help to take care of their cars. I gave this owner some tips on car maintenance and hope that he will follow it, else all efforts will go down the drain.

You can spend $500 or $2k in a single polishing session but subsequently if you don't do your part on taking care of the car, why waste the money on the polishing session... :) Thank you for viewing this posting, cheers.
