Which Wax Is The One?

I been frequently questioned by clients on maintenance issues for their rides. Question like "Which product out there is the best for producing the astounding mirror shine appearance". I find it very hard to answer them as it entails alot of stuff... IMO, i would simply put it this way with the aid of the following pictures.

If the car paint condition is flawless or near flawless condition like a mirror, any automotive wax/ sealant that is being applied on it will probably produce quite fantastic results and you may not be able to tell much of a difference with your naked eyes but if you had a ride with paint conditions like this Hyundai Matrix below, then the product used will/ may be put to the test.

The paint condition of this car was not too good, it was covered with swirl mark and there were quite a number of little etched mark that had went through the paint coat.

This was a close up view of the actual paint condition. In such an adverse condition, most commercial retail products may not be able to do much be it a $30 Sealant or a $30K Wax. This type of paint condition requires paint correction process to 'remove' the surface defects and usually the paint correction session may take hours depending on the severity of the cut by the scratch (put alot alot of scratch marks together and they become Swirl mark).
IMO, to maintain a flawless paint work in tropical countries like SG is not possible for daily commuters' rides owning to our weather condition over here with plenty of rainfall and sunshine but a near or quite near flawless condition is possible with special care + effort. For the daily commuters' rides, by not caring for the paint work will result to even worse scenario like this car in the pictures below. This was another Hyundai Matrix with worse paint conditions, most paint defects can be found on this car and there were many patches where the paint had been 'peeled' off revealing the primer coating below.

Handling this type of paint condition in the picture above is kinda anti climax for us as we cannot do much with the 'peeled' paint despite we really want to help. Respraying the car may be a better option rather than a paint correction session. Others have paid dearly for inadequate maintenance (polish once a year or 2 year once or even longer), the cost of it was simply the integrity of the top clear coat. The Kia Picanto in the following pictures had more than 23 microns of the top clear coat corrected during the paint correction process, with 53 microns of the paint (includes lacquer, colour and primer coats) left, how much more correction can be perform on the lacquer in the future if this continues.

Prevention is better than cure and taking care of the car's paint work really takes a lot of effort from day one, it's not just about a wax or a sealant. If you care for your car, please take care of it and having a yearly maintenance regime with the professional grooming company will ease your load. It took us a few hours to correct the paint work of this Hyundai Matrix, the owner is happy and we are happy as well. Enjoy the pictures and do take care of your ride, don't let it turn ugly... (:

Thank you for viewing and hope you had enjoy the session here. This wasn't a premium detail but the $188 wax was used on a single panel and it gave a fantastic finishing, do you know which panel the wax was applied on? (from the last 5 pictures)... hahaha... good nite.

Toyota Axio VisomaxED

This was an enhancement detail session using Visomax PS products. The Axio was actually quite well maintained by the owner and the condition was ok with light marring and some acidic etched marks. After we had removed the swirl mark on the car, we could clearly see the small patches of the acidic etched mark left behind by the bird poo.

The light correction process rectified most of the swirl mark but it was not able to shift the acidic etched mark after several hits.

The paint coating level thickness was took before we proceed with the severe spot correction with the PS 200V8 abrasive polish.

Paint coating level was healthy...

With the PS 200V8, the acidic etched marks were all removed with ease and the overall paint condition looked much better. The paint work was further gloss up with another polish and finally, the PS450 Titanium polymer sealant was used to seal and lock in the protection for the corrected paint work.

The interior of the car was a little soiled as the light colour upholstery was definitely not easy to maintain. We used various interior products from Zymol, AutoGlym and 3M to clean and recondition the leather and vinyl.

After 6 hours of enhancement work done on the car, I'm pleased with the final outcome. The paint work was glossy and the clarity was there plus the PS450 Titanium polymer sealant made the car very reflective and very shinning... :)

This is definitely a very good premium automotive grooming product and i will strongly recommend it to my friends and clients but there was this one thing which i don't like... the containers looked very weak and they get out of shape very fast. If you're from Visomax and reading this post, please look into it if possible, thank you. Cheers.
