Black Nissan Sunny (Really Thick Paint)

This Sunny was very nicely modded and it's a very different sunny after i had driven it for the wash. The car was given a mild paint correction to restore it's condition again.

The paint was "unique" as the mild to medium paint correction was not working. Most of the products used during the correction did not managed to rectify the defects. Upon closer inspection, the problem was determined. It was the paint job issue and there were quite a numbers of defects embedded beneath the clear coat which we can't do much to solve it.

This picture shown some of the embedded defects under the clear coat after the surface was burnished for LSP.
The verification stage with the use of a paint gauge. The paint gauge gave us a coating thickness of close to 700 microns! It was easily 3 times more than a continental ride paint coating, i wonder how many times this car was resprayed.

Metallic Grey Toyota Altis

This Altis was back for her periodic maintenance grooming. After the foam wash and claying, the paint work condition was assessed to be ok and the exterior of the car was clean, polish and seal again.

The leather interior of the car was quite soiled, taking into consideration that the last grooming was just few months ago. IMO, beige colour leathers are quite hard to maintain in tip top conditions as the stains are very obvious. Some serious cleaning had to be done to rectify it.

This is a 50/50 picture on one of the leather seat, more needs to be done to restore the colour and condition of the leather.

The door shuts were thoroughly clean as well.

Some minor cleaning up during the final detailing stages.

Various Engine Detailing

Initially i was quite skeptical about doing engine detailing. There were concerns about the cleaning process when water was spray directly at the engine bay but after i witnessed how cars had been service and clean by various authorized agents. I confirmed that it should be fine as the agents also used high pressure wash to clean the engine bay. Conclusion for me was this engine detailing may not be suitable for the faint hearts of the general public. There's this local saying "Scare don't do, wanna do don't scare"... hahaha.. anyway these were some of the engine detailing done in 2008.

Light Metallic Blue Honda Accord

Apologize for the lack of pictures for the conditions before detailing. This was one of the many cars which i had detailed in 2008 if i remembered correctly. The paint condition was quite good with light swirl mark only... very "fierce ride", don't play play.

Vios Engine Cleaning + Detailing

As mentioned in my other post in engine detailing, not all may agreed to what i have said and done. This was a detail engine cleaning and detailing session without stripping any parts, these were the conditions of the engine prior cleaning. The last cleaning was done about 11 months back.

After initial assessment done, the engine was foam wash to remove excessive dirt and grimes before the actual cleaning commence.

AG engine cleaner and other chemical were used to clean up the engine bay with the aid of various type of brushes. The entire cleaning process had some limitation as there were places that the brush can never reach unless the engine is hauled up. This was a very tedious and painful process as the hand/ fingers may occasionally get injured by the hot/ sharp surfaces in the process.

The second foam wash was executed to ensure that all excessive cleaner solvent, chemical and dirt were removed.

The engine was cleaned and the engine dressing was done. Polish was also used to clean up the workable paint area in the engine bay after the engine cleaning and detailing.

The total downtime was about 5 hours and the feeling was shiok when the engine looks good. Thank you for viewing this detailing session.
