8 Months Old Jetta

This is an interesting finding for my ongoing project, i am under the impression that the continentals rides have better paint coating over the Japanese and Korean ones due to the tough lacquer top coat. This top coating on the continental rides is much more tougher and they will definitely have the edge over the rest in terms of paint work protection. This car change my thoughts...
I came across this new VW's car, it is a Jetta and barely 9 months old. This car is in a bad shape and the paint work have been damaged badly as it is parked in the open where there are plenty of rain and sun actions. There were lots of surface marring over the entire car which was caused by cleaning.

+ lots of water etched markings and there were many tiny pores developed on the paint surface due to the acid rain etching.

a close up view of the defects on the bonnet/ hood panel.

The car should have been groomed by the authorized agent prior handing over to the owner and therefore there should be a LSP protecting the paint work. Good paint work + quality LSP coating seemed like a perfect combo for paint protection. Haiz... at 8 months old, the new car is seeing a 'doctor' already... 'temperature taking' in process... what is the problem here? Weather condition? OEM Paintwork quality? Polish/ LSP quality?
What to do now with this new car? Let's correct the paint work and see how it goes from here as i got less than 4 hours to sort this mess out. Let the levelling work begins!

The surface marring was sorted out...

Couple of RDS were left behind as it was too deep to be sort out by end of this grooming session.

The surface water etched marks were sorted out...

The deeper etched marking caused by the acid rain were proven to be too much for me, have to pass it on to the next groomer.

My conclusions gathered from this grooming session... regular maintenance is crucial and parking in a shelter area away from the rain and sun will prolong the longevity of the paint work. What do you think? Thanks for viewing.
