Peugeot 307CC

I received to call to rectify this paint defect, it was the bird poo problem and the clear coat had been etched badly as the owner did not took immediate action to remove it when he saw it. He removed the bird poo days later and he was really shocked by the amount of damage done. He was planning to respray the boot again if the polishing cannot do much.

This was the closer view of the damage area, the clear coat had been etched badly and i could felt the uneven surface with my finger. If this ride wasn't a continental make, it could have been worst. Wonder how the paint correction session will turn out to be... hmmm, may be only 50- 60% success rate because this looked really bad!

The car was washed and clayed, the paint coating level was verified as well.

The car was covered with surface marring which really made the car's paint work dull.

Final check before the paint correction process begins...

After 45 mins of paint correction, the etched marks were significantly minimised. The owner started smiling as he can save the hassle to respray the car.

After 2 hours of correction around the boot area, 95% of the etched marks were gone, the remaining 5% looked like pinning marks.

The cost of the paint correction was about 10 microns of the paint health.

I moved on to correct other areas and burnish the paint for LSP. It was a tiring 7 hr job but it was rewarding for me and the owner as well. These were the pictures took after the buffing the LSP.

Thank you for viewing this post, good nite...
