Lexus IS250 VisomaxED (Premium Detail)

I love the colour of this executive saloon and this is a IS250. This is 'OEM' from the land of the rising sun, one that could give it's continental cousin a run for it's money in the same class. The beautiful ride was sent in with lot's of marring all over it plus other defects as well, it was hindering the attention that it should get. (Apologize for the lack of pictures prior paint correction work :P )

The paint coating level wasn't very high, average readings at 90+ microns with higher paint coating readings at the bonnet. It wasn't a brand new car and i am assuming that the mean readings for new new car should be at around 110 - 120 microns.

I had spent more than 4 hours to clean and correct the paint work, another 2 hours were used up to detail the corrected paint work.
I've never seen a reflection that clear from all my previous jobs. Is it the product doing wonders?
The paint work was cleaned and corrected with Visomax Prometheus products.

Clarity and gloss, these pictures speak for themselves.

I'm impressed with the results of the grooming session, without a doubt!

I was glade that the session was completed in 7 hours, any longer will be a race against my endurance. The session was good, owner was happy and i've learnt new stuff as well. Thank you for viewing, cheers.

Tough Bimmer Paint 0, Carpark Washer/ Wiper 1

The owner wanted to keep the car sparkling clean by cleaning it daily but hasn't got the time to do it, hence he engaged the neighbourhood friendly chap who does the cleaning in the night. May be wrong guy for the job as the Bimmer was marred and some of the scratches looked bad. Most of these defects could have been minimised if the cleaning was done much more safely to the paint work.

... surface marring...

... RDS on the hood/ bonnet panel... damage was probably inflicted while trying to remove the dried bird poo.

This dried up bird poo was removed in the night, leaving an etched marking behind. Bird poo + scorching sun can cause alot of damage to the paint work. Golden rule no. 1, if you park in open air carpark, do avoid the trees at all times, a few hours of shade is simply not worth the risk of damaging the car's paint work. Avoid parking under the tree will minimise the risk of getting bombarded by the birds. (;
Defects were gone after 5 hits, tough paint!

Marring was gone and most acidic etched marks were removed after 4-5 hits, wonder if the the chap who does the cleaning daily helped in this case as there were encounters before that the acidic etched mark were in very bad condition... hmmm... but the RDS that were slapped with multiple hits were only minimised and eventually left alone because it's too deep to be safely corrected.

Bimmer back to pristine condition again!

The rejuvenated car was handed back to the owner and i hope he can find other alternative to maintain the car daily. As for the chap who does the cleaning in the night, i have nothing against him as he is also doing a decent job... maybe he can upgrade himself to serve the consumer better as i know there are many people that need his prudent service as owning a car is not everything. Thank you for viewing.

Blue - Nice Hue But No Easy Task To Maintain

This is a nice car and the blue colour is simply brilliant and beautiful.

I love this colour, sporty, saucy and attention seeking. Do you know how to maintain a dark colour ride, it's much more challenging than the "endurance colour" like grey, silver and champagne gold.

These pictures were took following the aftermath of 5 hours of correction work on the paint work and another 2 hours were spent to detail the corrected ride. Total of 7 hours spent on this Suzuki.

These were the pictures took hours ago prior to paint correction work on the ride. Paint readings were at normal correctable range and the conditions of the paint work were quite bad... loaded with deep marring, etched marking and alot of other road contamination.

This type of conditions will happen again if the car maintenance/ grooming regime is disrupted or stop, as always "Nothing lasts forever, maintenance is a must.." A simple analogy - our home is clean and maintain at weekly/ bi-weekly/ monthly intervals for various different tasks, what will happen if we stop or disrupt this regime?

Our car which is outside and running errands daily, is expose to so much environmental elements. It will need more care than our home. IMHO, twice or once grooming session per year will not get the job done here. Doing this task alone is tiring, if you need help, speak to your nearest butler who takes care of your ride for ease of car care, cheers. Thank you for viewing.

Swirl No More For Good???

I am not sure about whether this will materialize eventually, but currently my pal in Malaysia is doing a test on various new protection coating on paint work. If this really works, that may mark the end of using conventional wax or sealant during car grooming/ detailing task and the beginning of the new infinite protection coating.

The weather conditions have proven to be very challenging in our tropical region, maintaining a car in pristine condition is tough, we have been taking preventive measures to prevent this water etching issue, acidic etching problem, swirl/ marring stuff but it just not good enough. Look at this black car, it had taken it's toll, look at the conditions which were caused by nature and a handful was inflicted by man.

I've been seeing this type of paint work almost everyday, at times it freaks me out. In the short 4-5 hour grooming session, It's a mad rush to complete many tasks before going onto the next one. In such situation, i had to spend most of my time correcting the paint work rather than doing detailing work to enhance the appearance of the car.

Superficial defects were gone after 4 hits, leaving the etched ones.

After multiple hits with various polish, i managed to restore this portion, many more to go... this is really tough work. After about 4 hours correcting around the car, i don't have alot of time left to fool around.

I like black colour ride but it gives the most headaches to alot of people when it's flawed. The corrected Accord is not ideal as there were many other factors affecting it and these were the pictures taken from the 6 hour grooming session, many more tasks could been done if there's more... I'm really exhausted... look forward to the test result on the new paint protection coating, meanwhile do take care of your ride's paint work. Thank you for viewing.
