This was the closer view of the damage area, the clear coat had been etched badly and i could felt the uneven surface with my finger. If this ride wasn't a continental make, it could have been worst. Wonder how the paint correction session will turn out to be... hmmm, may be only 50- 60% success rate because this looked really bad!
The car was washed and clayed, the paint coating level was verified as well.
Final check before the paint correction process begins...
After 2 hours of correction around the boot area, 95% of the etched marks were gone, the remaining 5% looked like pinning marks.
The cost of the paint correction was about 10 microns of the paint health.
I moved on to correct other areas and burnish the paint for LSP. It was a tiring 7 hr job but it was rewarding for me and the owner as well. These were the pictures took after the buffing the LSP.
