Honda Civic FD

I was shocked when i saw this 4 years old Civic FD, it was not that old but it seemed like a COEd car in SG. The owner opted for a serious makeover to salvage the paint work. I washed and clayed the paint, the claybar was heavily soiled and i had to throw it after the session. These were the pictures took after the claying of the car's paintwork.

Dull and oxidised surface covered with swirl marks and RIDS.

The water etched marks on the bonnet/ hood and the boot area were bad.

There were lots of "gifts" from the cars parking beside... wonder what gift the owner gave in return... hmmm... lolz.

Weird liquid stains were found on the front right fender panel.

The paint health readings were took before the restoration operation. Overall average paint thickness was about 75 microns but certain areas were measured to be around 70 microns. For a 4 years old car, that seemed to be fine taking into consideration of the possible previous polishing session that it may have gone through.

Did a test panel on the leather seat and it was really heavily soiled and dirty and more cleaning needs to be done.

Did a paint cleaning test panel on the paintwork, confirmed it is in a very dirty and bad conditions.

A good 5 hours were spent to clean and restore the interior and exterior conditions, these were the end results from the severe paint correction and restoration session.

The interiors were meticulously cleaned and conditioned, now it smell much better than before.

The clarity and gloss of the paintwork was restored, it was clean and shinning like a star again.

The scuff marks and light scratches were safely removed from the affected doors.

The owner was happy and so delighted to see his car come back to life again and i was very contended with the session indeed when surprise like this could make his day.

The cost of the severe paint correction was about 5 - 7 microns of the paint's integrity and we took 5 hours to complete the restoration work. Thank you for viewing this posting, cheers!

Toyota Vios Pre FL (Severe Paint Correction)

This was one of the many cars that went through our paintwork restoration process when they utilized our car grooming service during CNY period. The conditions were bad and the paint was very dull as it was "cluttered" with too much defects on the surface.

The reflection of the lighting looked very blur and i kinda frowned for a moment before doing a test panel.

The paint correction process was done on all parts of the body panel, certain panels had to be wet sanded as the clarity of the reflection wasn't there. This was not advocated and not something which we enjoyed doing as alot of clear coat will be gone but we had to do it.

Now the car looked better after the severe paint correction process, i really hoped that the owner will take care of his car else probably the next time when i see him again... i may not be able to help him because the paint had been thinned down... how much correction can a 6 years old paintwork take?

That's all folks, thanks for viewing this post. Hope you are maintaining your ride regularly, cheers.
